Job summary

Maximus is seeking an Eligibility Verification Specialist to support the FEHB Protection Act Compliance program. The CSR II serves as a frontline CSR for FEHB/PSHB enrollees, providing inbound support for dependent eligibility verification and Portal access.

Remote role: must reside within 50 miles of McAllen, TX. Position contingent upon contract award; equipment provided per remote requirements. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• 6 months of customer service experience.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Moderate Risk Public Trust (5C) suitability determination, including background investigations, fingerprinting, credentialing, and security training requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provides customer service for basic and routine inquiries via telephone, emails, web chats, or written letters.
• Assists enrollees with Portal access, login issues, and document upload using approved scripts and resources.
• Authenticates callers and protects PII/PHI per privacy and security guidelines.
• Documents each interaction in the FEHB Portal or approved system of record.
• Escalates complex questions, reconsideration requests, language or accessibility needs, and potential fraud indicators.
