Job summary

Maximus is seeking an Eligibility Verification Specialist to support FEHB/PSHB program enrollees with dependent eligibility verification. The CSR II handles inbound calls, guides portal access, documents submission, and verification processes to ensure accurate eligibility determinations.

This remote role requires US citizenship, a high school diploma, and the ability to obtain a Moderate Risk Public Trust (5C). Remote work within 50 miles of McAllen, TX may apply, with equipment provided.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with 6 months of customer service experience.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a Moderate Risk Public Trust (5C) suitability determination, including background investigations and security training requirements.
• Remote role; must reside within 50 miles of McAllen, TX (remote eligibility)

Responsibilities

• Provides customer service for basic and routine inquiries and problems via multiple channels (phone, email, web chat, or letters).
• Handles inbound telephone support for FEHB/PSHB dependent eligibility verification.
• Assists enrollees with Portal access, document submission, and navigation of program resources.
• Authenticates callers and protects PII/PHI per privacy and security requirements.
• Documents interactions accurately in the FEHB Portal or approved system.
• Escalates complex questions and potential fraud indicators as needed.
• Meets attendance, schedule adherence, call quality, and documentation standards.
