Post University is seeking a Compliance & Contracts Attorney to serve as a legal advisor to stakeholders, focusing on contracts, regulatory compliance, privacy, and IP. This is a remote in-house role with limited travel and opportunities to influence university operations.

You will draft and negotiate agreements, review communications, and support both student and employee matters in a collaborative environment with University Counsel.

Qualifikationen

• Juris Doctorate from an accredited US law school.
• Must be admitted and in good standing in at least one state bar; CT house counsel status required.
• At least two years of experience practicing as a lawyer.
• Experience in higher education is welcome but not required.
• Strong critical thinking and legal analysis skills.
• Interest in developing expertise in contract review and key contractual provisions.

Aufgaben

• Drafts, reviews, revises, and negotiates a variety of agreements including vendor and technology agreements, strategic partnerships and alliances, and data privacy and IP matters.
• Reviews outgoing group student communications for regulatory compliance.
• Provides legal advice related to ethical operations and compliance.
• Assists with international compliance for international student population.
• Supports with privacy, GLBA, GDPR, FERPA, and related regulatory matters.
• Performs legal research and education outreach within the institution.
• Collaborates with university associates and handles other duties as assigned.
