Visionworks of America is seeking a Clinical Specialist/Optometric Assistant to enhance patient experience by preparing patients for onsite and remote examinations and conducting pre-exam diagnostics. You will explain steps to patients and serve as liaison between patients and Optometrists.

The role requires one year of related experience, a high school diploma, and a professional demeanor. You will work part-time, in-store, with some travel to other locations, and support insurance

Qualifications

• One year of related experience in optical or healthcare settings.
• HS diploma or equivalent required; training provided.
• Medical office professionalism and strong customer service expected.

Responsabilités

• Prepare patients for on-site and remote exams.
• Perform pre-exam tests and document results in EMR.
• Explain testing steps to patients and document outcomes.
• Assist with remote eye exams including video conferencing.
• Transition patients to retail staff with recommendations.
• Maintain patient records and privacy according to standards.
• Support appointment scheduling and follow-ups for no-shows.
• Maintain equipment and stock; ensure a clean environment.
• Travel to other store locations as needed.
• Assist with insurance preauthorization and eligibility.
