Job summary

Visionworks of America is seeking a Clinical Specialist/Optometric Assistant to help ensure a great patient experience by preparing patients for onsite and remote examinations, performing pre-exam tests, and explaining each step of the process. You will liaise between patients and Optometrists and support the initial steps of the patient journey.

The role is part-time with responsibilities including patient registration, pre-testing, and coordination with surgeons, with travel to other store

Qualifications

• One year of related experience.
• Optical or Healthcare background preferred.
• Medical office professionalism required.
• HS diploma, GED or equivalent related job experience.
• Training provided.

Responsibilities

• Complete patient registration and submit information into EMR.
• Assist onsite doctor with eye examinations and document results.
• Support remote eye exams including pre-testing and conferencing.
• Transition the patient to a retail associate with doctor recommendations.
• Instruct patients on contact lens insertion, care and orders.
• Travel to other locations as needed.
