Job summary

NEXGEN is seeking an Implementation Consultant to lead the functional workstream for EAM implementations. Remote-first role with travel up to 20% across the US.

You will run discovery, configuration, data prep, and UAT, partnering with Project Managers and senior staff to deliver enterprise software for utilities and public works clients. Ideal candidates have 3–5 years implementing enterprise EAM or CMMS, excellent communication, and the ability to build strong client relationships from day one.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years hands-on implementation of enterprise EAM/CMMS software.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
• Document business requirements, participate in structured workshops, and produce clear professional documentation.
• Strong communication skills; client-facing experience.
• Detail-oriented with organizational skills; manage multiple tasks across projects.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook; Visio or diagramming tools a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead discovery workshops; document and trace functional requirements.
• Author UR memoranda and functional documentation for configuration decisions.
• Configure NexGEN modules: asset hierarchies, work orders, PM schedules, inspection forms.
• Support business process analysis; develop Visio workflow diagrams.
• Guide data migration activities and review data quality with clients.
• Facilitate UAT sessions; manage issue logs through resolution and closure.
• Support training readiness with Education team.
• Provide on-site and remote go-live support; resolve post-go-live issues.
• Maintain professional documentation throughout engagements.
• Build client relationships and communicate professionally with stakeholders.
