Job summary

Qualifications

• Knowledge of professional/physician coding rules.
• Experience with ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, NCCI, LCD, and NCD.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with time management abilities.
• Ability to work independently in remote/hybrid settings.

Responsibilities

• Review medical records to assign CPT/HCPCS and ICD-10-CM codes.
• Monitor compliance and ensure accurate reimbursement.
• Communicate with physicians and staff for clarification.
• Meet departmental targets for code volume and accuracy.
• Assist in reporting documentation issues and reimbursement trends.
• Participate in internal coding and development training.
