Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Enter coded information into the system and assign appropriate APC and coding edits.
• Ensure codes are supported by medical record documentation and compliant with guidelines.
• Identify and resolve NCCI edits prior to final billing; report documentation gaps.
• Follow facility guidelines and HIPAA/privacy requirements.
• Maintain knowledge of coding standards and participate in compliance initiatives.
