Job summary
Okta is seeking a Solutions Engineer to partner with sales, demonstrate value, and shape technical solutions for Enterprise customers. You will present, configure, and deliver product demonstrations and proofs of concepts, addressing complex IAM requirements and integration scenarios.
The role requires strong communication, cross-functional collaboration, and travel up to 25% with a focus on OpenID Connect, SAML, and RBAC-enabled architectures across cloud platforms.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of pre-sales engineering experience in IAM.
- Strong understanding of IAM concepts including OAuth 2.0, OIDC, and SAML.
- Experience with lifecycle management, RBAC, provisioning/deprovisioning.
- Hands-on with web/mobile/backend development and REST APIs.
- Experience deploying apps on cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
- Excellent customer engagement and communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Work alongside the sales team as the technical and domain expert.
- Demonstrate product value with customized demonstrations and POCs.
- Answer technical questions from customers, partners and Okta colleagues.
- Plan and deliver proofs of concepts for complex use cases.
- Provide feedback to product management on enhancements.
