Job summary

Cardinal Health is seeking an experienced IAM Engineer to lead cross-domain authentication strategies, consolidate IdPs, and implement scalable IAM solutions across our remote U.S. operations.

You will design automation workflows, enforce security policies, and support regulatory audits while collaborating with Security, IT Ops, HR, and App Dev teams to ensure identity access aligns with business processes.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive experience as an IAM Engineer
• Strong command of AD, Entra ID, LDAP, and Group Policy management
• Extensive knowledge of authentication and authorization standards (SAML, OAuth, OIDC, SCIM)
• Hands-on experience with enterprise IdPs and governance suites such as Okta, Ping Identity, Microsoft Entra ID, CyberArk, SailPoint, or ForgeRock
• Proficiency in scripting languages for automation (PowerShell, Python, or Bash)
• Solid understanding of Zero Trust architecture, Least Privilege, RBAC, and modern DevOps practices/SDLC
• Familiarity with AI/ML concepts in risk-based authentication and user behavior analytics

Responsibilities

• Lead IAM workstreams for Mergers, Acquisitions, and Divestitures.
• Consolidate disparate IdPs into a unified enterprise SSO platform.
• Design and implement cross-domain authentication and federation strategies.
• Develop automated workflows and API-driven integrations for onboarding and offboarding.
• Implement IaC principles for IAM platform configuration management.
• Design and enforce Enterprise SSO Security Policies including MFA and RBAC.
• Conduct access reviews and support audits for regulatory compliance.
• Provide Tier 3 engineering support for identity-related issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align IAM with business processes.
• Maintain comprehensive technical documentation and runbooks.
