Insurance Office of America is hiring an Account Manager – Commercial Lines to manage an assigned book of business, ensuring retention and supporting new business. The role is hybrid with 1 day in an office or fully remote for Eastern/Central Time Zones.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in account management or 5+ years in insurance, active P&C licensing (CIC preferred), and strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills. IOA offers health insurance, 401K, and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of account management experience or 5+ years in the insurance industry.
• Active property & casualty licensing is required; CIC or equivalent preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Exceptional customer service, communication, multitasking, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• High School Diploma (or equivalent)

Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned book of business, ensuring account retention and supporting new business.
• Coordinate day-to-day administrative and customer service activities, resolving complex issues.
• Maintain policy management: expirations, renewals, and coverage analysis.
• Conduct client research, prepare submissions, negotiate coverages, and present proposals.
• Monitor accounts receivable and address delinquent balances.
• Maintain agency management systems and carrier/vendor platforms for data accuracy.
• Communicate workload status and issues with the account team.
• Deliver proactive service, anticipate client needs, and respond quickly to requests.
• Stay aligned with IOA policies and seek continuous improvement and values.
