Job summary

Carrier is seeking a highly skilled Modernisation Sales Engineer to join our UK team in a remote role. You will manage key accounts across the UK, drive outside sales, and build long-term relationships with customers while representing Carrier’s interests.

You will focus on identifying prospects, understanding their needs, and offering tailored HVAC turnkey solutions supported by a strong engineering background and sales expertise. This role offers flexible hours and autonomy working from home.

Qualifications

• Experience in mechanical HVAC sales.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience within the HVAC or related industries.
• Ability to work in a highly collaborative and dynamic environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively develop expectations and relationships with internal and external customers.
• Self-motivated and able to manage many simultaneous projects and responsibilities.
• Very comfortable in a technical environment utilizing Microsoft based software.
• Outstanding sales/negotiation skills and goal-orientated with strong time management and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Identify bid opportunities, prepare responses, and lead negotiations with potential clients.
• Be able to manage and sell Technical Turnkey solutions.
• Develop new leads and collaborate with the sales and business development teams to grow the customer base.
• Manage and nurture relationships with prospective key accounts, influencing new business opportunities.
• Attend industry trade shows and events to enhance the company’s visibility and attract potential clients.
• Work autonomously from home, managing your schedule and client engagements.
• Prepare and generate quotations, ensuring accurate and competitive pricing for customers.
• Identifies bid opportunities, prepares bid responses, and negotiates with potential customers.
• Supports the management team representative on prospective target accounts or territories.
