Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a seasoned Building Controls Engineer to design, configure and service complete HVAC building control systems and related low voltage sub-systems. You will develop software, commission systems, and provide clear submittals to customers, consultants, and field teams.

Under general direction, you will ensure quality, timeliness, and efficiency while coordinating with subcontractors and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering and at least eight years' experience.
• Knowledge of construction/service/HVAC industry.
• Knowledge of control theory, automatic temperature controls, building automation systems and subsystems.
• Experience integrating low voltage building subsystems using protocols (LON, BACnet, etc.).
• Ability to relate technical knowledge to a non-technical audience; strong drafting tool skills.

Responsibilities

• Designs, configures and services building control systems for the customer facility.
• Creates flow diagrams, sequences of operations, BOMs and network layouts as required.
• Develops and tests software programs to operate the system per facility requirements.
• Coordinates drawings and equipment schedules for submittals and installation.
• Assists in loading, commissioning and validation of systems; supports site teams and subcontractors.
