Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering Technology, Drafting, Electrical Engineering, or related field preferred.
• 3–7 years of experience in electrical construction, high-voltage substations, utility infrastructure, and industrial electrical projects.
• Proficiency with Bluebeam Revu, Microsoft Excel, and estimating software platforms.
• Ability to interpret one-line diagrams, three-line diagrams, site plans, and electrical drawings.
• Experience with 12kV–500kV systems and EPC/utility project delivery methods.
• Familiarity with Accubid, HCSS, Procore, Primavera P6, Autodesk Construction Cloud, SharePoint.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs from drawings, specs, and bid documents.
• Quantify substation components: foundations, steel, grounding, bus, cables, conduits, terminations, fencing.
• Develop BOMs and material quantity reports; identify gaps and cost impacts.
• Assist in labor units, productivity, and installation durations; support bid development.
• Develop and review construction detail drawings and project layouts.
• Interpret electrical, structural, civil, and protection & control drawings.
• Create material tracking documents and procurement packages.
• Assist with constructability reviews during preconstruction and planning.
• Coordinate drawing revisions and maintain project document control.
• Support engineering with design reviews and field revisions.
• Generate procurement-ready material lists and verify vendor quations.
• Review field reports, reconcile quantities, and support project turnover and closeout documentation.
• Assist procurement in identifying long-lead equipment and materials; support inventory planning.
