SOLV Energy is seeking a Design Engineer II, Substation to own the preliminary substation design for solar, BESS, and interconnection projects. You will serve as the technical owner from kickoff through 10% design, coordinating with engineering, procurement, estimating, and scheduling.

This role is fully remote in the United States; travel up to 10% may be required. You will mentor junior staff, oversee EORs and subcontractors, and ensure compliance with IEEE, NEC, NESC and interconnection

Qualificações

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from an accredited institution.
• PE licensure is a nice-to-have, not required.
• Minimum of 3+ years of experience in electrical substation engineering.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, ETAP, or similar software.
• Strong knowledge of substation design principles and industry standards.

Responsabilidades

• Own preliminary substation design and technical ownership for 10% design deliverable.
• Coordinate inputs from engineering consultants and subcontractors.
• Develop 10% substation design including single-line diagrams and general arrangement drawings.
• Review client documents and identify requirements, risks, and scope outside SOLV standards.
• Lead handoff to Preconstruction Engineering with clear design risks and items.
• Mentor junior staff and coordinate work for designers.
