SOLV Energy is seeking a Design Engineer II, Substation to own preliminary substation design for utility-scale solar, BESS, and related interconnection projects on a fully remote basis. You will serve as the technical owner from BD kickoff through handoff, aligning design basis, scope, schedule and risks before execution begins.

Responsibilities include leading the 10% design, reviewing client documents, coordinating inputs from engineering consultants, and guiding the handoff to Preconstruction

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering required.
• Minimum 3+ years of electrical substation engineering experience.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, ETAP, and related design software.
• Knowledge of IEEE, NEC, NESC and utility interconnection standards.
• Willingness to travel up to 10%.
• Ability to work in a fully remote environment.

Responsabilidades

• Own the first-pass preliminary substation design for 10% design deliverables.
• Review client documents and interconnection agreements to define requirements.
• Coordinate inputs from engineering consultants, procurement, estimating, and scheduling.
• Lead development of the 10% design including single-line diagrams and general arrangement drawings.
• Prepare handoff to Preconstruction Engineering and ensure alignment with project stage-gate.
• Mentor junior team members and support quality assurance.
