Job summary

Leap is hiring an HR Business Partner to support a fast-moving multi-state retail workforce. You will counsel Directors and multi-unit Managers on people-related matters, navigate employee relations with care, and help scale a high-performance culture across remote and onsite teams.

Your role focuses on resolving complex ER issues, leading investigations, and ensuring policy alignment while partnering to strengthen manager capabilities and retention.

Qualifications

• 4–7 years of HR experience in retail workforce.
• 3+ years managing leaves of absence and disability end-to-end.
• PHR/SPHR or SHRM-CP/SCP certification required.
• Experience conducting workplace investigations.
• Knowledge of multi-state employment law.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to operate independently across geographies.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the ER resource for retail and corporate employees across multiple states with speed, fairness, and consistency.
• Lead end-to-end workplace investigations and document findings and resolutions.
• Respond to grievances with care, balancing employee advocacy with business needs.
• Identify ER patterns and surface risks or opportunities to HR leadership.
• Maintain thorough, compliant ER documentation and record-keeping.
• Advise Directors and Managers on people-related matters and policy interpretation.
• Support change management and ensure consistent policy application across locations.
