Job summary

Access Medical Clinic is seeking a Temporary HR Specialist to provide hands-on HR support with a focus on leave of absence administration, employee relations, and HR operations. The role is remote with a dedicated workspace and high-speed internet.

You will manage leave processes, support managers and HR leadership on employee-relations matters, and assist with onboarding, offboarding, and HR transactions, while maintaining confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
• 3+ years HR experience, with leave administration and employee relations experience.
• Working knowledge of FMLA, ADA, workers' compensation, and other leave requirements.
• Healthcare HR experience strongly preferred.
• HR certification such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Leave of Absence Administration: manage day-to-day leaves (medical, FMLA, ADA, personal, military, workers' comp, state/local leaves).
• Coordinate leave documentation and communications with employees, managers, HR, benefits, payroll, and leave administrators.
• Track leave requests, approvals, extensions, intermittent leave, and return-to-work dates; ensure compliance with laws and policies.
