Job summary

Ideal Option and Ideal Balance seeks a Leave + Benefits Specialist to administer employee leave programs and benefits, ensuring compliance with FMLA, ADA, HIPAA, and state laws. You will serve as the primary contact for enrollment, accommodations, and education, partnering with HR leadership to support employees and managers.

This fully remote role requires excellent organizational skills, experience with HRIS platforms, and strong attention to detail to maintain accurate records and timely

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience administering employee leave programs including FMLA, ADA, and state leaves.
• Working knowledge of HIPAA, COBRA, ACA, and multi-state leave compliance.
• Experience with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Responsibilities

• Administer all employee leave programs including FMLA, ADA, and state leaves.
• Coordinate interactive process for workplace accommodations with HR leadership.
• Process enrollments, qualifying life events, terminations, and Open Enrollment.
• Maintain leave tracking and payroll coordination.
• Prepare leave designation notices, approval/denial letters, accommodation documentation, and return-to-work communications.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Develop and maintain SOPs and employee resources related to benefits and leave.
• Provide general HR support and respond to employee inquiries.
