Job summary

Quest Financial is seeking an experienced Benefits & Leave Specialist to own the leave of absence program, partnering with employees, managers, Payroll, Benefits, Legal, and a third-party platform to ensure leaves are administered accurately and in compliance with federal, state, and company requirements.

This fully remote, temp-to-perm role handles approximately 20–25 hours of leave work per week and supports open enrollment, employee education, benefits communications, audits, reporting, HR

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on leave of absence administration experience, including FMLA and complex leaves.
• Knowledge of FMLA, ADA, STD/LTD, parental leave, intermittent leave, and state-specific programs.
• Experience coordinating leave across multiple states with Payroll and benefits teams.
• Ability to identify compliance gaps, escalation needs, and documentation issues.
• Strong case-management, organizational, and communication skills with ~30 active cases.

Responsibilities

• Manage leave cases from initial request through return-to-work and closeout.
• Administer FMLA, parental leave, STD/LTD, military leave, personal or unpaid leave.
• Oversee cases in Cocoon; validate eligibility and document gaps.
• Serve as primary contact for employees and managers on leave processes.
• Coordinate paid/unpaid leave components and payroll adjustments.
• Reconcile leave activity across Cocoon, Paycom, payroll, and records.
• Maintain confidential leave records and HRIS transactions.
• Prepare ADA documentation and coordinate accommodations.
• Support leave-related audits, reporting, and SOPs.
• Assist with open enrollment and benefits education.
