Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Remote HR Policy and Compliance Specialist to join its distributed team. You will develop, review, and update HR policies, oversee compliance initiatives, and mitigate risk while fostering an ethical workplace culture.

This role emphasizes rigorous policy work and strong legal awareness to support company values and strategic objectives. The ideal candidate has at least 6 years in HR, deep knowledge of labor laws, and proven experience drafting policies,

Qualifications

Minimum of 6 years in HR with focus on policy and compliance.
Extensive knowledge of labor law including BCEA, LRA, EEA, and other relevant legislation.
Proven ability to research, draft, and implement HR policies.
Experience in conducting compliance audits and investigations.

Responsibilities

Develop, draft, and revise HR policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance and alignment with best practices.
Conduct regular reviews and audits of HR practices to identify and address compliance gaps.
Stay abreast of changes in South African labor laws and employment regulations, advising on necessary policy updates.
Manage and respond to compliance-related inquiries and investigations.
Develop and deliver training programs on HR policies and compliance matters to employees and managers.
Ensure the consistent and fair application of HR policies across the organization.
