Job summary

TACFI Consulting LLC, a veteran-owned federal government contractor, is seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to lead day-to-day HR on a part-time basis. The role covers onboarding, offboarding, records, recruiting coordination, compensation discussions within approved ranges, benefits, and leave administration.

The position is remote across the United States, about 20 hours per week, with growth potential as TACFI expands. Strong communication with senior leadership is essential.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of progressive HR experience in multi-state environments.
• Experience as HR Manager or similar senior HR role.
• Knowledge of state-specific employment requirements and payroll coordination.
• Experience supporting recruitment and full lifecycle hiring.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as primary HR contact for employees and management.
• Manage onboarding, offboarding, records, and routine HR processes.
• Administer HRIS and maintain employee records.
• Coordinate recruiting activities and interviewing processes.
• Prepare offers and conduct salary negotiations within approved ranges.
• Support benefits administration, leave, and policy development.
• Maintain employee relations documentation and escalation procedures.
