Job summary

Akumin is hiring a Human Resources Generalist for a full-time, remote role based in the United States. The HR Generalist provides essential day-to-day HR support to mobile imaging and fixed-site oncology teams, serving as the first point of contact for HR-related matters and ensuring policy and process execution with a focus on Care, Collaboration, and Excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Experience required.
• 3-5+ years HR operational experience.
• Strong knowledge of HR processes and employment laws (FMLA, ADA, FLSA).
• Proficiency with HRIS platforms such as Workday and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Experience with AI tools.

Responsibilities

• Act as the initial point of contact for team members and frontline managers on HR questions; coordinate with Payroll, Benefits, Leave Administration, Talent Acquisition, and HRIS partners to route and resolve inquiries.
• Manage employee relations intake, conduct preliminary fact-finding, and escalate complex issues to the Director, HRBP as appropriate.
• Support managers with performance appraisals, performance improvement plans, and managerial training across multiple states.
• Ensure consistent application and communication of HR policies and procedures.
• Maintain accurate employee data in the HRIS and report on HR metrics.
• Monitor HR trends across regions and escalate recurring concerns.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
