Job summary

ACES is seeking an HR Generalist to advise organizational leaders and employees on HR matters. The role serves as the POD leader for a specific group of locations, directing HR efforts and partnering with Recruiting, Training, L&D and Culture to deliver integrated solutions.

The position will support onboarding, retention, performance management and employee relations while ensuring compliance with FMLA, I-9 and FLSA.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of Human Resources concepts, practices, programs and methodologies
• 3-5 years previous experience in a similar or related HR position, ex: HR Assistant, HR Coordinator
• Understands ACES HR policies, practices and expectations
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with ability to tailor communication approach to specific situations and audiences
• Problem-solving skills and critical thinking
• Experience with conflict resolution and de-escalation
• Strong empathy and interpersonal skills
• Detail-oriented with excellent organization skills
• Advanced computer skills, including data entry, data processing, communication tools and HRIS software

Responsibilities

• Supports other ACES departments with guidance and advice related to various HR functions including onboarding
• Oversees onboarding, retention, terminations/offboarding, performance management and employee relations
• Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local laws including FMLA, I-9 and FLSA
• Leads an assigned group of HR employees to support a specific area of the business
• Acts as a liaison with Recruiting, Training, L&D and Culture to deliver integrated HR solutions
• Manages day-to-day HR processes and ensures understanding of policies
