Descartes is seeking a Human Resources Generalist to support our growing U.S. employee population.

Reporting to the Manager, Human Resources, this role provides a broad range of HR support across employee relations, onboarding, organizational changes, employee development, compliance, and offboarding activities. The position offers an excellent opportunity to gain exposure to multiple areas of Human Resources while developing your skills in a fast-paced, growing global organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 2-4 years of HR experience in a fast-paced or technology-focused environment.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Advanced proficiency in Word and PowerPoint.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information.
• Experience with HRIS; SAP SuccessFactors is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day HR support to managers and employees.
• Support onboarding activities to ensure a positive new hire experience.
• Assist with employee relations matters and fair, consistent resolution.
• Prepare HR reports and maintain accurate employee records and data.
• Process and manage HR transactions within the HRIS.
• Support organizational changes and employee lifecycle activities.
• Promote company initiatives, employee engagement, and learning opportunities.
• Assist managers and employees with policies, benefits, performance management, and other HR questions.
• Participate in HR projects and process improvement initiatives.
