Sharing Excess is a fast-growing food rescue nonprofit operating hubs in Philadelphia, New York, Chicago, and Detroit. We seek an HR Generalist, Recruiting to own full-cycle recruitment for all hubs and departments, from hourly warehouse roles to leadership positions, while also backing HR operations and onboarding.

The role emphasizes candidate experience, collaboration with managers, and growth into broader HR responsibilities.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, in-house or agency.
• Experience with high-volume hourly hiring and professional/salaried searches.
• Knowledge of HR operations: onboarding, I-9s, HRIS, employee relations basics.
• Familiarity with employment law: fair chance and pay transparency.
• Experience with ATS and HRIS.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building with candidates and managers.
• Strong organizational skills and discretion with confidential info.
• Willingness to travel occasionally to Sharing Excess hub locations.

Responsabilités

• Own the full-cycle recruitment process end-to-end across all hubs and departments.
• Partner with hiring managers to define needs, interview plans, and criteria.
• Source candidates via job boards, community partners, colleges, and referrals.
• Manage high-volume hourly hiring alongside professional and leadership searches.
• Coach managers on structured, inclusive, compliant interviewing.
• Maintain ATS, keep candidates informed at every stage.
• Prepare offers with HR Manager and hand off to onboarding.
• Track recruiting metrics: time-to-fill, pipeline health, source of hire.
• Keep careers page current and reflect mission/culture in postings.
• Support annual hiring plan and align roles with budget.
