The Human Resources Generalist supports designated regions with a primary focus in California, handling employee relations, onboarding, policy implementation, and employment-law compliance.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in HR or related field and 5+ years of HR generalist experience, including California-specific knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a generalist role.
• Working knowledge of CA wage and hour rules, CFRA/PDL, PAGA, and California-specific compliance.
• Experience supporting California employees.
• Proficiency with HRIS systems and MS Office.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures; maintain employee handbook.
• Handle employee relations counseling, outplacement counseling, and exit interviewing.
• Participate in administrative staff meetings and attend seminars.
• Maintain HRIS records and generate reports from the database.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment and benefits laws.
• Support performance management processes, including disciplinary actions and improvement plans.
• Conduct HR investigations and provide recommendations.
