Job summary

IRIS Software Group is seeking a proactive HR Advisor to join our Education HR Consultancy team, supporting schools and education sector clients with expert HR advice across the employee lifecycle.

The role involves working closely with HR Business Partners to deliver practical HR solutions, policies, contracts, recruitment processes and training, with remote UK-based delivery and travel to client sites when required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working in an HR role.
• Good understanding of HR principles and people practices.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with clients and colleagues.
• Proactive and customer-focused approach to problem solving.
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a wider team.
• Confidence using HR systems and Microsoft Office applications.
• Willingness to learn, develop and stay updated with legislation and best practice.
• CIPD qualification, studying towards CIPD, or equivalent HR experience.
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel to client sites when required.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert HR advice and guidance on a wide range of matters.
• Support schools and education clients with recruitment and people-related processes.
• Produce and review employment documents, contracts and letters.
• Review, update and develop HR policies in line with current legislation.
• Assist onboarding of new HR consultancy clients.
• Deliver HR training and workshops (virtual and in person).
• Support clients with HR technology and software solutions.
• Build trusted client relationships and meet service levels.
• Contribute to process improvements and use of technology to enhance delivery.
• Collaborate with internal teams to deliver an excellent customer experience.
