Job summary

Moffitt Cancer Center is seeking a Hospital Outpatient Coder to review and assign codes for outpatient encounters using ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS. The role supports continuity of care and accurate reimbursement in a remote-eligible setting.

Ideal candidates have oncology coding experience, a high school diploma or GED, and at least two years of outpatient coding experience, with proficiency in Cerner EHR and related coding systems.

Qualifications

• Experience with ICD-10-CM, CPT and HCPCS coding.
• Experience in oncology coding preferred.
• Two (2) years health care outpatient coding experience.

Responsibilities

• Review, analyze, and assign ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS codes for outpatient encounters.
• Ensure coding accuracy and compliance with CMS, AHIMA/AAPC guidelines.
• Support reimbursement optimization and data integrity for the cancer center.
