Job summary

MEDHOST, a healthcare IT provider, seeks an Account Follow-up Representative II to review and resolve outstanding insurance balances on hospital patient accounts. You will learn multiple hospital systems, conduct research, and work with payors to resolve unpaid claims.

This is a remote US role; you will handle 40-50 accounts per day, gather demographic and insurance information, and prepare claims for reconsideration as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 3+ years in related field.
• Knowledge of revenue cycle processes and insurance follow-up.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word/Excel/PowerPoint/Outlook).
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Review and resolve insurance balances for hospital patient accounts.
• Research and analyze outstanding claims; work with third-party payors to obtain information.
• Follow up on 40-50 accounts per workday for assigned payors.
• Assist training for new hires and support less experienced representatives.
• Participate in projects to fulfill clients' contractual agreement of services.
