Job summary

Orlando Health is seeking a highly experienced Inpatient/Outpatient Coding Liaison for a fully remote role. The position requires CCS/RHIA/CPC or COC certifications, and 7+ years hospital coding experience.

You will ensure accurate ICD-10-CM/PCS and CPT coding, support DRG assignments, and lead educational initiatives across the Revenue Management team. Responsibilities include coding quality, chart reviews, and cross-functional collaboration with physicians and coders to maintain compliance and

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Associate degree in Health Information Management or related field.
• Completion of coding certificate program.
• Thorough knowledge of official coding guidelines (AMA, AHA, CMS).
• Computer literacy with proficiency in MS Word and Excel; anatomy, physiology and medical terminology.
• Liaison coding skills test of 90% or better.
• Advanced knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathophysiology, pharmacology and medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate coding accuracy reviews for inpatient and outpatient cases.
• Assign ICD-10-CM/ICD-10-PCS or CPT codes per policy and regulatory guidelines.
• Collaborate with Clinical Documentation Excellence and Quality Management to determine DRG assignments.
• Provide feedback, training and education to staff; act as preceptor to new coders.
• Identify trends from reviews and report KPI data for process improvement.
