Qualifications

• Facility/hospital inpatient coding experience.
• AHIMA/AAPC certification required or equivalent.
• 5 years of expert-level professional or hospital-based coding experience.

Responsibilities

• Research, interpret, and apply coding, payer, and regulatory requirements.
• Develop, maintain, and update coding guidance and reference materials.
• Coordinate and support coding quality audits and track findings.
• Analyze coding quality data to identify trends and risks.
• Prepare summaries and reports for leadership and audits.
• Partner with teams to improve documentation quality and coding accuracy.
• Support regulatory, compliance, and quality projects.
• Respond to internal inquiries on coding guidance and audit outcomes.
• Assist testing and workflow updates related to coding quality.
