Advocate Health is seeking an experienced medical coder to join the Enterprise Revenue Cycle team in Integrity Operations: Facility Coding Quality. This role focuses on professional and hospital coding accuracy, compliance, and quality improvement across key payer requirements.

AHIMA or AAPC credentials and 5 years of inpatient/outpatient coding experience are required. Remote work options may be available.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent education and experience required.
• AHIMA or AAPC credentials (RHIA/RHIT/CCS/CCS-P/CPC) required.
• 5 years of expert-level professional or hospital-based coding and revenue cycle experience.
• Strong knowledge of ICD, CPT, HCPCS coding guidelines.
• Experience with audits and documentation quality.

• Research and apply coding standards for professional and hospital coding.
• Support coding quality audits and track findings.
• Develop coding guidance and reference materials.
• Analyze coding quality data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
