Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking an experienced Facility Coding Quality professional to join our Enterprise Revenue Cycle team. The role focuses on research, interpretation of coding requirements, and maintaining coding guidance to ensure compliant hospital coding practices.

Ideal candidates have AHIMA or AAPC credentials (RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CCS-P, CPC) and at least five years in expert-level professional or hospital coding, with experience in remote workforce operations and cross-functional

Qualifications

• Facility/Hospital Based Inpatient Coding experience.
• AHIMA/AAPC certification such as RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CCS-P, or CPC preferred.
• 5 years of expert-level professional coding or hospital-based coding experience.

Responsibilities

• Research, interpret, and apply coding, payer, and regulatory requirements.
• Develop, maintain, and update coding guidance and reference materials.
• Coordinate and support coding quality audits and track findings.
• Analyze coding quality data and audit results to identify trends and risks.
• Prepare summaries and reports for leadership and quality initiatives.
• Partner with Integrity Operations and education teams to improve documentation quality.
