Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking an experienced Facility Coding Quality professional to join the Enterprise Revenue Cycle team. You will research and apply ICD, CPT, and HCPCS guidelines, support audits, and drive documentation quality across hospital and professional coding practices.

The role requires AHIMA or AAPC certification, 5 years of expert-level coding experience, and ability to work remotely within approved states.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent education and experience required.
• Certification credentials in AHIMA or AAPC (RHIA/RHIT/CCS/CCS-P/CPC) preferred.
• 5 years of expert-level professional or hospital-based coding experience.

Responsibilities

• Research, interpret, and apply coding, payer, and regulatory requirements to support accurate coding practices.
• Develop, maintain, and update coding guidance and reference materials for enterprise consistency.
• Coordinate and support coding quality audits and document findings for corrective actions.
• Analyze coding quality data and audit results to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
• Prepare summaries and reports for leadership and quality initiatives.
• Partner with leadership and clinicians to improve documentation quality and coding accuracy.
