Job summary

Golden 1 Credit Union is seeking a Home Loan Processor to manage mortgage files with accuracy and efficiency in a remote California setting. You will coordinate with Members, Home Loan Advisors and vendors, review documents, and ensure timely processing of loan transactions.

The role requires 2+ years of mortgage lending experience, familiarity with investor guidelines, and knowledge of BSA, RESPA, TILA, TRID and AML. A HS diploma or GED is preferred.

Qualifications

• 2+ years mortgage lending experience, processing experience preferred.
• HS Diploma or GED preferred or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and communicate information with Members, Home Loan Advisors and Vendors for loan processing.
• Coordinate the ordering of title reports, flood certificates and appraisal orders; review documentation for accuracy.
• Maintain understanding of state and federal laws related to credit union compliance: BSA, RESPA, TILA, TRID and AML.
• Review income and assets, including tax returns, and funds verification and update LOS accordingly.
• Read and interpret Desktop Underwriter (DU) findings; ensure DU and LOS alignment before underwriting.
• Review and evaluate credit documentation for investor and Golden 1 policies.
• Prepare and process general correspondence and document exchange updating LOS for complete tracking.
• Manage pipeline to meet service levels, efficiency, and loan quality.
• Complete HMDA information and maintain quality control.
• Acquire knowledge of FNMA and Golden 1 equity products.
