Job summary

Golden 1 Credit Union is seeking a Home Loan Sr Processor to manage mortgage transactions from intake through closings, ensuring accuracy and compliance. You will coordinate with Home Loan Advisors, title vendors, and internal teams to verify income, assets, and DU findings while maintaining LOS data and meeting service levels.

The role requires 5+ years in mortgage processing within a financial institution and recent FHA loan experience.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred.
• Additional work experience may be considered in lieu of a High School diploma.
• 5+ years or more experience in a financial institution processing Home loans handling routine to complex processes required.
• Recent experience processing FHA loans is required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and communicate information with Members, Home Loan Advisors, and Vendors for loan processing.
• Coordinate ordering of title reports, flood certificates, FHA case numbers, CAVIRS, LDP/GSA; follow up on appraisal orders.
• Review documentation for accuracy and identify additional research or documents needed.
• Maintain knowledge of state and federal laws related to credit union compliance (BSA, RESPA, TILA, TRID, AML).
• Review income and assets from docs and update the LOS accordingly.
• Read and interpret Desktop Underwriter findings; rerun with updated figures and ensure LOS match.
• Review credit documentation for investor and Golden 1 policies.
• Prepare and process general correspondence and document exchange updating LOS.
• Manage pipeline to meet service levels, efficiency, and loan quality targets.
• Complete HMDA information; respond to quality control issues.
• Acquire knowledge of FNMA, FHA, and Golden 1 equity products and guidelines.
• Perform tasks per Golden 1’s competency standards; perform other duties as assigned.
