Job summary

Global Impact Group LLC is seeking Mongolian Over-the-Phone Interpreters (OPI) to support a USCIS contract. Mongolian, spoken in Mongolia and parts of northern China, is a rare but critical Central Asian language often needed in asylum and immigration proceedings.

As an OPI, you will provide real-time Mongolian-English telephonic interpretation for USCIS interviews, hearings, and asylum cases, while upholding strict confidentiality and impartiality under federal standards.

Qualifications

• Native or near-native fluency in Mongolian and English.
• 2+ years of professional interpreting experience (immigration/legal/government strongly preferred).
• Strong knowledge of interpreter ethics, confidentiality, and impartiality standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide real-time Mongolian-English telephonic interpretation for USCIS interviews, hearings, and asylum cases.
• Interpret accurately, impartially, and with professionalism in immigration and legal contexts.
• Maintain strict confidentiality under USCIS/DHS interpreter standards.
• Support both scheduled assignments and urgent/surge interpretation needs.
• Participate in training, compliance refreshers, and quality assurance audits.
