Job summary

Global Impact Group LLC is seeking Hungarian Over-the-Phone Interpreters (OPI) to support our USCIS contract. Provide real-time Hungarian-English interpretation for USCIS officers, applicants, and stakeholders with accuracy, impartiality, and cultural sensitivity in immigration contexts.

This remote role offers secure USCIS-approved systems, paid training, and professional development. Competitive hourly pay ($25–$32) with steady workload and opportunities for advancement into QA or linguist

Qualifications

• Native or near-native fluency in Hungarian and English.
• Minimum 2 years of professional interpreting experience (immigration, asylum, or government preferred).
• Familiarity with interpreter ethics, confidentiality, and neutrality standards.
• Excellent telephone communication skills and ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Provide real-time Hungarian-English telephonic interpretation for USCIS officers, applicants, and stakeholders.
• Interpret with accuracy, impartiality, and cultural sensitivity in immigration and asylum contexts.
• Maintain confidentiality and comply with USCIS/DHS interpreter ethics standards.
• Manage both scheduled assignments and urgent/surge interpretation calls.
• Participate in training, compliance refreshers, and QA audits.
