Job summary

Novartis seeks an Associate Director, Health Information Technology, to partner with leading health systems and provider organizations across Texas. This role accelerates adoption of HIT solutions supporting diagnosis, treatment decisions, patient management, and clinical workflows.

Travel up to 50% across Texas is required. The position requires 5+ years in HIT, a Bachelor's degree, and hands-on EHR experience with Epic, Allscripts, eClinicalWorks or Cerner.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required in a relevant field
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Health Information Technology (HIT) or related healthcare experience
• Experience applying HIT in inpatient and ambulatory settings
• Integration of clinical systems across the care continuum
• Hands-on experience with EHR products such as Epic, Allscripts, eClinicalWorks, and Cerner
• Understanding of the HIT landscape and its stakeholders
• Knowledge of healthcare reform initiatives and their impact
• Strong organizational, written, and oral communication skills
• Excellent presentation skills
• Customer-facing experience with strong service mindset
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities and collaboration
• Ability to apply AI-enabled thinking to improve decision speed and outcomes

Responsibilities

• Define and identify key clinical and customer stakeholders and engage in Health IT initiatives at the site of care
• Act as trusted contact for population health and HIT initiatives
• Conduct regular customer meetings to share HIT information
• Create and execute key account plans navigating customer landscape and initiatives
• Serve as SME to the Novartis Account Management team
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for accounts, sharing insights on care management and HIT governance
• Contribute to development of scalable, EHR-enabled tools related to key therapeutic areas
• Model and promote effective AI use across the team and embed AI tools into workflows
