Job summary

Novartis Group of Companies is seeking an Associate Director, Health Information Technology to partner with health systems and providers. You will drive HIT strategy across Cardiology, Renal, Oncology, Immunology, and Neurosciences, improving clinical workflows and decision support while traveling up to 50% across the Texas region.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years in HIT/EHR with hands-on experience in Epic, Allscripts, eClinicalWorks, and Cerner.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Minimum 5 years in Health IT, HIT, EHR, or related healthcare experience.
• Experience applying HIT in inpatient and ambulatory settings; integration across care continuum.
• Hands-on experience with major EHR products (Epic, Allscripts, eCW, Cerner).
• Strong communication, organization, and presentation skills.
• Customer-facing experience with a customer service mindset.
• Ability to influence peers and lead initiatives with business impact.

Responsibilities

• Identify stakeholders (CMIOs, clinicians, EHR vendors) and engage in HIT initiatives at care sites.
• Serve as trusted point of contact for population health and HIT projects.
• Conduct regular customer meetings to share HIT information and progress.
• Create and execute account plans to navigate customer landscapes and drive initiatives.
• Act as SME on HIT workflows and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Contribute to scalable, EHR-enabled tools and resources across therapeutic areas.
• Model and promote responsible AI use within the team and workflows.
