Job summary

RethinkFirst in Atlanta, GA is seeking a Reconciliation Specialist to support our billing teams by reconciling therapy session payments, posting payments across billing platforms, and ensuring accurate accounts receivable. You will work with insurance companies and the AR team, review EOBs/ERAs, monitor enrollment, and help maintain HIPAA-compliant data integrity while delivering timely reimbursements.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of payment posting experience.
• ABA experience appreciated.
• Experience with insurance portals and billing software.

Responsibilities

• Reconcile payments posted electronically from the clearinghouse.
• Post manual payments in billing platforms (Rethink, Kareo, Azalea).
• Review and interpret EOBs and ERAs.
• Post payments from insurance portals and enroll in ERAs when applicable.
• Communicate trends identified when posting to AR teams for client resolution.
• Identify underpayments/overpayments and coordinate with CBA & AR teams.
