Job summary

RethinkFirst is seeking a Reconciliation Specialist to support our billing teams by ensuring accurate reimbursement for therapy sessions and posting payments in billing systems. This role emphasizes HIPAA confidentiality and close collaboration with insurance companies and the AR team to maintain clean accounts receivable.

The position requires 1–2 years of payment posting experience, attention to detail, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or Equivalent.
• 1–2 years payment posting experience.
• ABA experience.
• Experience using insurance company websites/portals.
• Professional phone skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail, critical thinking and communication with internal teams and insurance companies.

Responsibilities

• Ensure HIPAA-compliant confidentiality with all client-related data.
• Reconcile payments posted electronically from the clearinghouse.
• Post manual payments in all billing platforms (Rethink, Tebra, Azalea).
• Review and interpret EOBs and ERAs.
• Post payments from insurance portals.
• Enroll in ERAs to reduce manual posting and monitor enrollment requests.
