Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking a HIM Business Analyst to support discovery, workflow documentation, and process development for HIM standards in clinics and outpatient departments. This fully remote role involves travel and collaboration with cross-functional teams to implement HIM processes.

The ideal candidate will have 2 years in Health Information Management, a strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience working in Health Information Management or in an Outpatient Clinic setting required.
• RHIT/RHIA Certification preferred.
• Associate degree in Health Information Technology or Bachelor’s Degree in Health Information Management, Informatics, or healthcare related field preferred.
• Demonstrated proficiency in computer skills including Microsoft Office required.
• Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Availability to travel.

Responsibilities

• Works collaboratively with cross functional teams including Medical Group Clinics and other outpatient clinic departments on the education, implementation, and management of HIM standards within the clinic setting.
• Provides training and auditing of HIM standards and related HIM functions.
• Provides reporting and feedback to clinics regarding HIM standards and reports back to clinic leadership. Works closely with clinic operations to meet standards.
• Provides operational and implementation support for clinic acquisitions and denovos.
• Collects and documents business requirements and business needs, works closely with HIM Systems Analysts to implement identified business needs.
• Liaise between various business departments and groups and effectively communicate and manage stakeholder engagement.
• Maintain documentation regarding various projects, processes, and operations.
• Monitors HIM processes in the clinic setting and recommends process improvements.
