Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking a remote HIM Business Analyst responsible for discovery, workflow documentation, and process development supporting HIM standards in clinics and outpatient departments. The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams, training, auditing, reporting, and travel as needed.

The candidate will collect and document business requirements, coordinate with HIM Systems Analysts, and drive improvements while ensuring compliance with HIM procedures.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in Health Information Management or outpatient clinic setting.
• RHIT/RHIA Certification preferred.
• Associates or Bachelors in Health Information Management or related field preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office required.
• Able to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams in clinics on education, implementation, and management of HIM standards.
• Provide training and auditing of HIM standards and related functions.
• Report to clinic leadership and work with clinic operations to meet HIM standards.
• Support clinic acquisitions and denovos from an operational perspective.
• Gather and document business requirements and coordinate with HIM Systems Analysts to implement needs.
• Liaise between departments and manage stakeholder engagement.
• Maintain documentation for projects, processes, and operations.
• Monitor HIM processes in clinics and recommend improvements.
