Job summary

SOLV Energy, Inc. is seeking a High Voltage Project Detailer for detailed quantity takeoffs and project detailing on substation projects.

This fully remote role supports estimating, procurement, engineering, and operations by delivering accurate material quantities and constructible design details. Ideal candidates have 3–7 years in electrical construction or utility infra, with proficiency in Bluebeam, Excel, Autodesk Revit, Procore, and estimating software.

Qualifications

Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering Technology, Drafting, Electrical Engineering, or related field preferred.
Experience in electrical and utility infrastructure projects, especially substations and EPC deliveries.
Proficiency with Bluebeam Revu and Microsoft Excel is expected.
Experience with estimating software platforms and BIM tools like Revit.
Familiarity with substation drawings, diagrams, and site plans.
Ability to interpret one-line, three-line diagrams and protection drawings.

Responsibilities

Perform detailed quantity takeoffs from drawings, specs, and bid documents.
Quantify substation components: foundations, structural steel, grounding, bus, cables, and terminations.
Develop BOM summaries and material quantity reports for bids.
Review scope for gaps and potential cost impacts; support labor estimates.
Create material tracking documents and procurement packages.
Coordinate drawing revisions and document control; assist design reviews.
Develop procurement-ready material lists and verify vendor quotations.
Support project managers with budget tracking and quantity reconciliation.
