Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in Counselor Education/School Counseling.
• Georgia Clearance Certificate required to work in Georgia.
• Georgia Service Certificate in School Counseling required to work as a school counselor in GA.
• Possess a Georgia School Counseling certification and be able to obtain/maintain the credential within first 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Assist students and families with successful transition into the program.
• Work with students with diverse needs, including those with 504 plans.
• Follow up with students and families to ensure they stay on track with requirements.
• Build relationships with students and families via email, phone, and in person when needed.
• Troubleshoot and resolve student/family issues and navigate proper communication channels.
• Collaborate with school teams to link families to resources.
