Job summary

Topstep is seeking an Onboarding Analyst within the Onboarding & Identity Operations team to review elevated-risk IDV exceptions, perform Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD), and conduct thorough financial crime screenings across global trader accounts.

You will handle Tier-2 escalations, compile evidence-based case files, and elevate novel fraud vectors or complex corporate entities to Senior High Risk Analysts, while maintaining audit-ready notes in internal systems and collaborating with remote

Qualifications

1-3 years of direct AML/KYC, EDD, or financial crime investigation experience.
Experience with IDV platforms and screening databases.
Strong written communication with concise case narratives.
Ability to follow SOPs and escalate edge cases.
Detail-oriented with attention to document integrity.

Responsibilities

Review Tier-2 IDV escalations and investigate synthetic identities or document tampering.
Perform structured EDD investigations and verify identity legitimacy.
Compile evidence-based case files for Enforcement review.
Route high-complexity cases to Senior Analysts for escalation.
Maintain audit-ready case notes in internal systems.
Identify recurring friction points and help refine templates and SOPs.
