Cambia Health is seeking a HEDIS Medical Record Analyst for a temporary role in the Northwest. The assignment runs 4-5 months starting January, with a base pay of $41.00-$48.00 per hour DOE.

Responsibilities include retrieving and abstracting medical records for HEDIS reporting, coordinating with EMR/EHR systems, and ensuring accurate data capture while maintaining HIPAA compliance. This non-benefited role emphasizes accuracy and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team.
• Strong command of medical terminology and EMR/EHR systems.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and clinical processes.
• Experience with HEDIS and medical record retrieval/abstraction.
• Familiarity with ICD-9/10-CM, CPT/HCPCS and DRG coding a plus.
• Knowledge of FACETS a plus
• Experience with quality oversight and teaching desired
• Associate degree in Nursing or related field and 3 years clinical experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Retrieve, abstract, or over-read medical records for HEDIS reporting.
• Collect records from EMR/EHR, review documentation, and log receipt.
• Abstract/process data into HEDIS databases to support reporting.
• Document retrieval progress and communicate with provider offices.
• Ensure accurate data elements such as breast cancer screening dates and labs.
• Maintain documentation using paper/electronic tools as directed.
• Suggest pursuit strategies within department policies.
