Job summary

Cambia Health is seeking a HEDIS Medical Record Analyst for a temporary role starting January 4, for about 4-5 months. Ideal candidates reside in WA, ID, OR, or UT and can work remotely.

The role involves retrieving, abstracting, and reviewing medical records for HEDIS data, coordinating with providers, and ensuring accurate data entry into the HEDIS database. Requirements include strong medical terminology knowledge, EMR/EHR navigation, HIPAA understanding, and prior HEDIS or medical records

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in team environment.
• Demonstrated command of medical terminology, navigating EMR/EHR systems, medical record documentation, and clinical processes.
• Demonstrated problem solving ability.
• Knowledge of HIPAA and data privacy practices.
• Experience with quality oversight and HEDIS knowledge a plus.
• Normally to be proficient in the competencies listed above: an Associate degree in Nursing or related field and 3 years of clinical experience with medical records or EMR/EHR systems.

Responsibilities

• Retrieve, abstract, or over read medical records to capture required data elements for HEDIS reporting.
• Collect medical records from EMR/EHR systems and verify documentation; log receipt in appropriate systems.
• Abstract and/or over read data into HEDIS databases to support reporting and quality improvement.
• Communicate with provider offices to gather additional information as needed.
• Document findings and progress for each EMR accessed; collaborate with team on strategy.
